Her nieces & nephews plus all of the greats were always a part of her life and close to her heart! In addition 3 step-granddaughters and 6 step-great grandchildren.Įrnestine was the oldest of 10 children and cared for the younger brothers and sisters as if they were her own. Charlene & Ricky gave her 4 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. The most important priority was her faith and her family. After retiring she and Wilburn enjoyed antique & junk auctions, buying, repairing and selling from their home. Ernestine then found her passion with Home Interiors & Gifts winning numerous awards for her sales and decorating techniques. She then worked at Baxter Lab in the Label Dept. Home, AR.Įrnestine worked at Connie’s Café, Quality Market & Piggly Wiggly. Westinghouse went on strike and closed the plant they moved the family to Mtn. She lived in Ozark County MO until late 1953 when she & Wilburn moved to Kansas City, MOĮrnestine was then a homemaker & Wilburn worked for Westinghouse She later gave birth to son Ricky Lee Mahan Jin Mtn. She gave birth to daughter Charlene Mahan Wilber Schlotzhauer Augin Gainesville, MO. She married George Wilburn Mahan on Novemin Mtn. She then attended SMS University and Drury College and obtained a Teaching Certificate and taught in the one room, “New Hope School” in Ozark CO. She attended Ozark County schools and graduated from Gainesville High School when she was 16. She was born Jin Dugginsville, MO to Ben and Lena Deatherage Quick. Ernestine Quick Mahan age 87 of Gassville passed away Novemin Mountain Home, AR of natural causes after a long illness.
